I am in a land dispute with our resident bald eagle, though I am not complaining. I’ve written previously about the very tall white pines on my lake home property in “Lamentations of an Elder Pine”. This particular eagle seems to think of one of these pines, a 120 foot white pine, as his royal throne and so, sometimes when I am there, he will swoop down and land on a lower bough and just start screeching at me. He is an enormous bird, very regal, and he was quite vocal about me (and especially my dog) being there. I have no intention of resolving this particular land dispute with such a beautiful animal.
I feel as though I should apologize for the huge grin on my face. How excellent. A peace treaty is in order…though that is not one I am particularly versed at, I’d be curious as to the outcome.

We shall see this weekend! I’m anxious to get back up there. Also, I’m excited to see and hear the loons again.

You are so blessed to have such a beautiful and majestic creature take up residence on your property. I have always believed that eagles are very spiritual and carry a very special magic with them. Your picture is amazing as well…xo

The eagle is amazing. It would sometimes fly over me at exactly the same speed when I am waterskiing

I can’t explain how much I love this. I am sure an understanding can be reached and property shared in mutual respect.
Eagles are powerful messengers from spirit. They are said to be a symbol for great strength, leadership and vision, helping you to “discover your personal power and the route to the destiny of your choosing”.
Excellent picture of this beautiful creature!

He is hard to take a picture of. If I get too close, he usually flies away. But if he is feeling territorial, he stays near and tries to intimidate. Lol

He does look regal…as far as I’m concerned, the tree belongs to the majestic eagle. We humans are just “borrowing” bits and pieces of nature, but none of it belong to us.

I agree. As far as I’m concerned, we can give the earth back to nature

Dajena, I feel a bit out of the know on this. To me, a double headed eagle is a reference to Freemasonry
